Choosing a good swimsuit can be a hard process sometimes. Especially for me because a salesgirl or a shopping buddy always manage to trick me into buying something I don’t really feel comfortable in. Waste of time, waste of money and a huge pile of swimsuits I wore only once! Sounds familiar? I bet it does!

You see, sometimes it’s not about what’s trendy but what you feel it’s good for you. If I look at myself in the mirror and I like the way my swimsuit fits me I feel hot and ready to hit the beach. But If I’m not quite satisfied with it I don’t care if it’s the latest fashion and I’m not taking off my cover-up for anything. Although wearing a swimsuit pretty much sounds like exposing all those small imperfections for everybody to see, a wisely picked one can do completely opposite. It’s all about picking the best model for your body shape, the one that will hide the critical areas and draw attention to the things you like and want to point out.
Small bust – The most common problem girls are facing with when picking the right bikini is the small bust. If you’re one of them then consider yourself lucky because padded tops have become a standard these days. Ruffles are great for making the bust appear fuller, too. Avoid wearing too small triangle tops because you’ll look like you borrowed your six year-old sister’s bikini top.
Short legs – If legs are not exactly your best attribute or you would just like to make them appear a few inches longer, you should stay away from boy-shorts and skirtinis. Pick a one-piece swimsuit with high leg cut that will add inches and make you silhouette look slimmer and you’ll definitely a have pair of hot, long, supermodel legs.
Bigger butt and hips – No matter how much you may like having some “junk in the trunk“, you should know that this, so-called “pear-shape body type” doesn’t allow wearing micro bottoms. And constantly fixing you bikini is not comfortable either. For this body type shorts and skirts are ideal and the best choice is a heavy-printed or light-colored top with thin straps combined with the bottom in darker color as it will make the body more appear more proportional.
Hope you found some good information here girls. I know I didn’t cover everything so Part 2 is coming soon.
